The perfect picture wall! We’ll show you how it works!

You always wanted a beautifully designed picture wall à la Pinterest, but just don’t know how to do it? You want to change your home and think of an optical eye-catcher? We will show you in simple steps how to put together your own personal picture wall.

Choose pictures

The most important thing is the selection of the pictures. Agree in which direction the style should go: colorful, minimalistic, playful or calligraphic – it should be pictures that have one thing in common. The best thing here is a common colour, a certain common style or a similar motif. It is also totally exciting when the pictures differ in size, which is more interesting for the eye.

Find the right frame

Once you have found a selection, it’s on to the next step, the selection of the frames. Here you can totally rely on your taste. The selection is boundless. A little tip: at flea markets or second-hand shops you could get your hands on especially nice picture frames. The combination of different frames, also with different haptics, looks particularly beautiful. If there is space, a picture frame on the floor looks very nice, too. Here you should make sure that it is a stable and slightly larger frame, so that it looks better.

Combine the best

Before you start hammering and nailing, we recommend that you arrange the picture frames on the floor. Just sort until you get the best combination. A little tip: if you’re dissatisfied with your arrangement, sleep on it for a night, you’ll usually have a better view of concepts and more creative energy with a certain time lag. As soon as you are satisfied with your composition, the work of art can be hung up.
